Making a Dream a Reality

Our Story

From Duluth Trading Co. to Harper’s Bazaar, owner Katie McKenzie had seen many aspects of the fashion & retail industry before launching her first boutique, Luceo Boutique & Styling Co. Since day one, this was the dream.

Fashion & People

After working in several large scale retail spaces throughout high school, Katie attended Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and majored in Fashion Marketing and Fashion Design. While this school provided her the background and knowledge of the apparel industry, Katie also got a job at a very small, specialty boutique in the Savannah area. It was there where she learned the in’s and out’s of providing exceptional service, with clothes that couldn’t be found at just any retailer.

Fun Environment

Katie then moved on to New York, where she worked and interned at several big name brands & retailers, spending most of her time at the fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar. Finally it was time to move back to wonderful Wisconsin to begin planning the next venture, Luceo. Katie accepted what she told herself would be a short-term job at Duluth Trading Co., but she enjoyed the work, the company and the people so much that she stayed a little longer than anticipated. Finally the time was right, the stars aligned, and Luceo was born.
